We took a little road trip to the southern most point in the continental US, Key West. It’s a fun 160 mile drive from Miami down the Hwy 1, Your essentially driving on the ocean for three hours hoping from small island to island. All the sites are just off the highway, we stopped at several beaches along the way, Ann’s Beach, Bahia Honda, Taylor’s Beach all lovely. The beaches here are family style, calm, warm water but no waves to speak of. We sampled the local seafood, conch fritters, pink shrimps and lobster rolls. Tried a little Key Lime Pie which I found to be overrated then tropical days gave way to Caribbean nights.
